(Ticket Sales End One Hour Before Closing)

We recommend you arrive before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. on summer weekends, holidays and fall color weekends. You'll move through the Gate more quickly, there will be fewer people in the park, and the animals will be more active. If you can only schedule your visit for midday, we will always be ready to take care of your travel party.

Spring	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Summer	8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fall	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Winter	9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

" I recently visited Grandfather Mountain and had a wonderful time! The animals were active and the mountains were beautiful. I must admit that I thought the photos on the website were the 'best' of the mountain, but they are nothing in comparison to what you see when you are actually at the mountain. I have been telling everyone that they must go for a visit. I will admit that I was a afraid to cross the Swinging Bridge, but I'm going back next year to finally cross it! "
