Naturalist Weekend Offered Fascination and Fun

From behind-the-scenes tours of the bear habitat to late night owl prowls, guests got a good taste of why Grandfather Mountain is famous for "nature on a whole different level."

Carroll Roberson

Carroll Roberson to Preach and Sing at Singing on the Mountain

Carroll Roberson first came to Grandfather Mountain in 2004 to film music videos for his "God Made the Mountains" DVD. He will be back on Sunday, June 24 to bring the message at the 84th annual Singing on the Mountain.

“It is truly one of the most beautiful places we've ever been," said Roberson. "Talk about God being on the mountain, well, there’s no doubt about it!” "

Admission to the Singing is free. Music begins at 8:30 a.m. and continues throughout the day, with a break at mid-day for the sermon.

The Singing on the Mountain was named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.
