Grandfather's Solar Garden Ready to Produce a Bumper Crop in the New Year

Located behind the wildlife habitats in an area not visited by the public, the photovoltaic solar collectors can produce seven kilowatts of power that go directly to the power grid through TVA. The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation invites the public to "share the journey" by visiting its on-line store. Find a comprehensive selection of books, music, videos, gifts and collectibles all related to the Parkway and the Blue Ridge Mountains, including a special collection of Grandfather Mountain souvenirs.

Grandfather Mtn. logo items offered by the Parkway store include T-shirts, blankets, throws, stuffed animals, key chains, stickers and magnets.

Each purchase from the Parkway store benefits the educational and conservation objectives of the Parkway Foundation.
