The foliage is spectacular at Grandfather Mountain this weekend! More than half of the trees above 4,000 feet have turned. The color will be at its peak along the Blue Ridge Parkway between Blowing Rock and Grandfather for the next few days. Fall color comes early to the peaks of Grandfather, so you don't have to wait until late in the month to see spectacular foliage.

Tips For Visiting In October

Visit the High Country on weekdays during October if you can. When you can only travel on peak weekends, we recommend you arrive at Grandfather Mountain before 10 am or plan to visit after 3 pm.
